Not much to say about the world lore of the hourglass system for mana, but it's an interesting set up and makes me wonder if Lloyd's world was also advanced in the past and more than just mana is exhanged by the flow Even without her mind did Lloyd making her feel secure in the city create a bond or is a tiny trace of her still there because it was incomplete? I'm unsure if it's actual hints of awareness surfacing within Colette, such as her responce as Kratos approaches, or if it's a more raw reaction to the presence of a similar power. He wins points though for being equally as bored with the teachers exposition as I was. Setting them up is one thing, but direct opposition is quite another. I'm not surprised he wants freedom from his role as Chosen, but I'm curious as to exactly how far he's going to go to get it.

Zelos is a character and a half, and Sheena's reaction to him being responsible for them plus the rest was pretty fun. Strong start to the arc, and I'm pretty happy with what the focused on and the dyanmics with the new characters.
